About the Author

Whitney Hicks is a Senior Communication Disorders student at Marshall University.  She graduated from Hurricane High School in 2003 and started her college career as a nusing major before converting to a love for speech & language disorders.  She has found in the past years that she has a real interest in dysphagia, or swallowing disorders, particularly in CD 101. She hopes to pursue her career by attending graduate school full-time after graduating with her bachelors degree in May.  Whitney lives in Huntington, is a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and has a dog named PJ.
